Daughtry

History

Chris Daughtry tried out for American Idol season 5 and made it close to the end. He came in 4th place that year. After American Idol he signed a contract with 19 Entertainment and RCA Records on July 10, 2006. On November 21,2006 Daughtry's first and only album debuted and was a huge hit. Their debut album was certified Triple Platinum on June 21, 2007. The band was nominated for 4 Grammy Awards in 2008.

Daughty's debut album, self titled, was released on November 21, 2006. About a week after it's release they had their own single, "It's Not Over", which debuted on the radio on December 6,2006. It reached number 4 on Billboard Hot 100 and number 3 on many others. His second single was "Home". He had another single, "What I Want", which was released on the radio on April 23. Their 4th single was, "Over You", released on July 24. Their final single to date is, "Crashed", released on September 10, 2007.

Style

Daughty plays Rock, some people could call it pop though because some of their songs aren't necessarily Rock. Songs such as There and Back, Crashed, and All These Lives are definetly rock. Other songs such as It's Not Over and Feels Like Tonight could be pop depending on your preference.
